Japanese Azalea Flowers

Japanese Azalea Flowers

Azaleas are flowering shrubs comprising two of the eight subgenera of the genus Rhododendron, the Tsutsuji and Pentanthera. Azaleas bloom in summer, their flowers often lasting several weeks. Shade tolerant, they prefer living near or under trees.

Japanese Azaleas have large flowers that come in a wide range of bright colours, great at this time of year. The pure white flowers of Azalea Panda are still my favorite though.
